You’re trying to find the table that ends with_users. You have one WordPress site on the server, so the table you want is probably the one that ends in wp_users.

Connect to MySQL using SQLyog. Once you find the table and the actual record, it’s time to change the password. As you’ve probably figured out by now, the password is stored in the user_passfield, hashed using the MD5 algorithm.

To generate an MD5 hash, open the online MD5 generator in your browser, enter your desired password and click “Hash.” Copy the generated string and paste it where you want. You can edit the field directly in phpMyAdmin.

Similar to other MySQL clients, the procedure is straightforward. You’re prompted to create a new password when you save changes and log in with it.

Method #2: Creating a new user. This method requires less time and works fine even when the password is longer than 15 characters. Here’s how it’s done:

You can save any other fields. You can also add as many fields as you want. Then, once saved, MySQL will give the field a unique ID. That’s it.

Now go to the metatable of your user and set the value for_usermetatable. Don’t forget the underscore!

We’ll create two new records. Leave the umeta_idfield empty for both of them. Set the user id field to the value you just remembered (the unique ID value in the user’s table).

The meta values are now visible on the product page!

Method #2 – the functions.php way

For security reasons, we recommend creating accounts using only the email that was registered to the site, but if you want to, you can change the password for an existing account. You’ll need cPanel access to the website’s database and access to the root MySQL account.

To start, let’s get started by changing the password of an existing user. If you’re using cPanel, log in to your account at https://yoursite.com:2083 and look for phpMyAdmin. The list of databases and tables is on the left.

It would be best if you found the correct table name. In most cases, it’s wp_users. However, if you have more than one WordPress installation on your server, you have to find the one that’s associated with the users you’d like to edit.
